Kai Yan has been involved in a wide range of corporate commercial matters, assisting various local and foreign clients on matters such as acquisition and disposal of shares, drafting and reviewing corporate agreements as well as advising on legal and regulatory issues.

Amongst the matters that he has been exposed to include the following:

• legal due diligence exercises on companies from different businesses including machinery manufacturers and concession companies;
• drafting of legal advice on compliance with various legislation and regulations such as the Companies Act 2016, medical regulations under the Control of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulations and Medical Device Act 2012;
• assisting with the incorporation of a Malaysian company for operations by a German manufacturer; and
• preparation and drafting of corporate agreements and policies.
