Experience
Farahida has been involved in a wide range of corporate commercial matters, assisting various local and foreign clients on matters such as acquisition and disposal of shares, drafting and reviewing corporate agreements as well as advising on legal and regulatory issues.
Amongst the matters that she has been exposed to include the following:
- Acted as local counsel for a Malaysian Public Listed Company in a cross-border acquisition involving multiple subsidiaries across Southeast Asia.
- Acted as a local counsel for a Korean automotive company in its collaboration with a Malaysian company for the manufacture and sale of semiconductors.
- Advised major shareholder of a Public Listed Company on his rights and obligations as a shareholder.
- Advised an oil and gas company on Anti-Money Laundering compliance and regulations.
- Prepared due diligence for the sale of a shopping mall.
- Drafted a key corporate document including Share Sale Agreements, Option Agreements, Tag Along Agreements and Debenture Agreements.
- Drafted regulatory adequacy checklists for governmental agencies in preparation for the review and amendments to their legislation.
- Drafted regulatory impact reports for governmental agencies for the review and amendments to their legislation.
Education & Qualifications
Farahida graduated from the International Islamic University (IIUM) with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hons.) in 2021 and was called to the Malaysian Bar, being admitted to the roll of Advocates and Solicitors on 29 July 2022. She then pursued a Master’s in International Commercial Law (LLM) from University College London (UCL) in July 2023.
