Putri is currently working with Puan Sharifah Shafika Alsagoff wherein she has been exposed to diverse forms of corporate and commercial transactions with emphasis on corporate mergers, disposal and acquisitions and establishment of joint ventures involving private, public listed and government-linked companies.
Amongst the corporate work that Putri has been exposed to include the acquisition of oil palm plantation land and private companies by Malaysia’s plantation giant, Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad for purposes of oil palm cultivation in Sabah, the acquisition of a hotel in Sarawak by the investment arm of Federal Land Development Authority, the proposed joint venture between an agency owned by the Ministry of Finance Incorporated and a company based in Saudi Arabia with the purpose of setting up various franchise in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore for the sale of oud, ambergris and various perfumes and the proposed joint venture between a financial institution and a local developer utilising the Shariah concept of Musyarakah for the proposed development of a Waqf land.
Putri also assists in matters relating to banking and finance in both conventional and Islamic, as well as corporate finance and capital market such as the issuance of the MYR1.5 billion of Islamic medium term notes programme by the subsidiary of a public listed company, the floatation of a Muamalat Term Financing-i (Tawarruq) facility granted by Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad to a private company on the Investment Account Platform for the subscription by investors and the standardization process undertaken by RHB Islamic Bank Berhad in respect of its template documents to ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Malaysia’s new guidelines on Tawarruq.
Education & Qualifications
Putri graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Mara in December 2010. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in January 2012.
